IT’S TIME TO HONOUR OUR BUSINESS HEROES
Inspirational heroes from Northallerton businesses will be honoured at a gala awards evening this spring.
The Love Northallerton Business Awards on Saturday 30 April will celebrate the hard-working men and women who make North Yorkshire’s county town such a special place to work, shop and do business.
There are 11 award categories for the 200-plus members of Northallerton Business Improvement District (BID), covering everything from small beauty and hairdressing shops to the town’s biggest retailers.
An independent panel of judges will be looking for examples of outstanding customer service, community spirit and commercial resilience in the face of Covid-19.
A black-tie dinner at the Golden Lion oHotel
Hotel will be compered by Elly Fiorentini, Communities Senior Journalist at BBC Radio York, and tickets for the event will go on sale soon.

Professional Service Business of the Year
Small Retailer of the Year
Large Retailer of the Year
Health, Hair and Beauty Business of the Year
Food and Drink Business of the Year
Best Customer Service Award
Apprentice of the Year
Employer of the Year
Employee of the Year
Businessperson of the Year
Community Spirit Award
This year’s celebrations will build on the success of the inaugural 2020 awards watched by thousands in a virtual ceremony after the original dinner had to be cancelled because of the national Covid-19 lockdown.
“This is a great way to honour those businesses that really go the extra mile for their customers and clients,” says BID manager Graham Bell.
“We’ve seen their passion and commitment shine through during a tough couple of years. This is the chance to give these people the recognition they deserve – from the boardroom to the shop floor.”
