Friday on the Square-The first of many, the start of something new

Northallerton BID held its first in a series of Friday on the Square live music events. On March 22nd, at Treadmills Square, Governor’s House hosted the first live singer, Claire Louise. Claire Louise sang a variety of music from the 1960s to the present day, and the crowd enjoyed the music and the warm atmosphere of Governor’s House.

The event was originally planned to be held outside, but due to high and chilly winds, the performance was moved inside. However, with five more performances scheduled over the next five months, we hope the weather will be on our side so we can bring live music to the streets of Northallerton.

Our next Friday on the Square performance will be held on April 19th at 5 pm, in the Town Square where George Boomsma will be performing. We hope for good weather and a great turnout for what will surely be a fantastic live musical event. Keep an eye on the weather forecast; updates on the location will be posted on our social media if the event has to be moved inside.
