Summer in Northallerton

Throughout this British summer, NorthallertonBID has hosted several events to offer free and fun entertainment for families to increase footfall, dwell time and spend on the High Street.

Our Summer of Fun kicked off with a bang on 22nd July when the Greatest Showman performed, the following week we welcomed the Wizard of Weird Magicians. The 5th of August saw Spiderman, the Hulk, and Wonder Woman take to the stage, and last Saturday princesses Elsa, Anna, and Cinderella embraced Northallerton. All these events were free and had sell-out audiences with an aggregated total of 1,000 people enjoying the entertainment.

Additionally, on the 6th of August, Northallerton BID hosted its third and final large-scale road closure event of the year welcoming back our much-loved dinosaurs. Jurassic Northallerton 2.0 was a massive success, where dinosaurs took over Northallerton High Street. The rain held off, and the crowds embraced the event, enjoying the dinosaurs, free children’s games, and crazy golf! ⛳🐱‍🐉

This summer has been jam-packed, and a huge success. These events have been well received by the public and businesses. We have achieved our primary objective and look forward to bringing back our Summer of Fun for 2024 where hopefully the sun will make a reappearance.
