Northallerton High Street Deep Clean
Northallerton BID has recently applied for a High Street Deep Clean as part of the Vibrancy and Sustainable High Street Fund, which has been made available by the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith, and the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The comprehensive deep clean has been successfully completed, leading to a remarkable transformation of several key areas in our town. The thorough cleaning process encompassed a variety of locations, including both sides of High Street—from Rafferty’s all the way to the Northallerton Inn—ensuring a pristine environment for residents and visitors alike. Additionally, Barkers Arcade, Garthway Arcade, Central Arcade, New Row, Friarage Street, and Zetland Street received a clean, enhancing the overall appeal of these bustling thoroughfares.
Looking forward, the BID is committed to maintaining this momentum. Plans are underway to organise rejuvenation days, which will actively engage local businesses and community volunteers. These initiatives will focus on upholding cleanliness and fostering community pride, ensuring that our town remains a welcoming and attractive place for everyone.
