Coffee Shop Support Worker/Trainer

We opened an exciting new coffee shop in Summer 2017 in partnership with North Yorkshire Police in their new Head Quarters in Northallerton, offering supported work experience training adults in North Yorkshire who have a specific support need as a pathway in to paid employment.
We are looking to recruit a part time coffee shop support worker/trainer who is warm, flexible and highly motivated who will deliver bespoke training and support to the trainees on placement to gain the skills and confidence to find routes in to meaningful employment.
You will be supporting trainees to develop the skills and confidence to create pathways in to employment which will help to maximise their potential and reward them with fulfilling and valued lives. You will enjoy inspiring the trainees to make goals and work towards reaching these through tailored training packages and work experience placements whilst delivering a high quality and thriving coffee shop facility for the police HQ staff and the community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join this small team where you will also help to establish and develop the coffee shop as a successful service both for the Police staff, the community and the trainees who will be accessing the training placements. There will be an expectation that staff will work additional hours to cover annual leave and to provide outreach supported employment. This will be either to trainees from the coffee shop moving on to paid employment or other individuals who require supported employment within a new work placement in Northallerton and surrounding areas. Specific training and support would be provided to fulfil these additional supported employment requirements.
