Store opening hours
We have temporarily reduced the normal opening hours of our stores to 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday to ensure we can clean and fully re-stock our shelves ready for our customers. You can check your local store opening times on the Asda Store Locator, which is updated with the latest information.
To support the vital work of the NHS and care workers, we are prioritising NHS workers in larger stores every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 9am.
We’ve put purchasing limits of a maximum of 3 items on certain handwashing and baby milk products in store and online so there’s enough for everyone.
Counter closures, such as rotisserie and pizza counters
As we want to prioritise getting the essential products onto our shelves, we will be temporarily closing our non-essential services, such as rotisserie and pizza counters. This is to make space in our warehouses for essential services and give more support to our colleagues stacking shelves and working tills.
Customer limits instores
Where necessary, the number of customers in our stores will be limited at any one time so social distancing can be observed.
Perspex screens at checkouts
In the coming days, perspex screens will be introduced at checkouts and kiosks to protect our colleagues.
Credit and debit card contacless payment limit amount has now been increased to £45.
Online services are still been offered but understandably the demand for online shopping is really high, please check back regularly as we continue to work on increasing our capacity. During this busy time we’ll only show slots for the next 7 days to allow us to prioritise our most vulnerable customers. Existing orders for later than this window are not affected, however, you will only be able to amend in the 2 days before your order is due (see Order Amends for more information).
